We dealt with Tom in the Basingstoke store today. He helped both my parents with a virtual SIM card for use in overseas phones and dealt patiently and knowledgeably with their questions. We also upgraded a phone and he made the entire thing easy and a pleasant experience. He was so friendly and positive to deal with. We would highly recommend the store.

I visited the store seeking assistance with my contract, but from the moment I arrived, the staff was unhelpful. The employee immediately told me to call customer care before I could even explain my issue. When I asked if she could pull up my account details to assist me, she reluctantly sat down with me. However, while I was sitting at the table straight away, she decided to take out her phone, snap a picture of another staff member, and either send or post it, all while I was right in front of her. This behavior was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. If this is how your staff is expected to treat customers, it’s no wonder I’ve seen similar complaints in other reviews about the rudeness at this store. It’s clear that O2 is not addressing these issues. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect when I visit your establishment, not with rudeness. if you need to know the time and date of my visit please do let me know Thanks

Manager ( woman with ginger colour hair ), extremely rude and racist towards customer. Not willing to help. Avoiding customer contact and asking staff to deal or disappear at the back. Mostly on her phone all the time. Extremely Unhelpful and doesn't empathise with customer query or problem. Can't help customer with resolving issue. Only know how to sell. No after sale customer service. Avoid o2 especially in Basingstoke as you want get any help from store staff.

The staff were incredible. Their name was Zara and were extremely helpful to my situation however due to a name change (irrelevant to me wanting to get a contract) even with Zara physically seeing my ID’s and confirming I was the same person the call centre denied my application without reasoning and asked inappropriate questions. This happened when we tried doing it over the phone first and was denied after they had already taken payment from me. Nothing to do with the staff in centre (again they were beyond amazing) but the call centre should be taught how to deal appropriately with trans people trying to use their services or anyone who has had a name change and definitely should not be taking payment if nothing has been approved. I would give 5 stars to Zara and the staff there but would give none if possible to the call centre.

I was mistakenly signed up for a SIM-only contract, contrary to my request for a phone contract. Although I returned the SIM the next day, the staff member claimed technical issues prevented immediate cancellation. He assured me the contract would be cancelled, but I later received an email incorrectly stating I had defaulted on monthly payments. I promptly contacted O2 Basingstoke, explained the situation, and provided proof of SIM return. I was reassured that the issue would be resolved and advised to disregard the email. However, months later, I received a letter from a debt collection agency claiming I owed O2. This error remains on my credit report as a derogatory mark till date.

Me and my mum came into the shop on Saturday to review our data plan and to sort out travel data for me and the lady who helped us (I'm so sorry I didn't catch her name) was amazing. She was so helpful and kind and made us feel really welcome. It was a pleasure to meet her.

Went in store with an emergency and the staff were very informative and organised. Told me a wait time, but halfed it, which was great as I was loitering around. Gave me some good advice and helped me transfer all my data and info, to my new phone Zak was the main man who helped me and was fantastic Tom and olu were keeping me entertained while i waited but saw them with a few customers and I would almost go as far to say they enjoy their job which is great and rare to see. Great shop with a great team who deserve praise, they do a great job representing your store and company and I can't thank Zak enough such optimism and helpfulness Highly recommend this store purely for the team
