You'll feel transported as you enter the valley, experiencing a sense of stepping back in time. The village provides a perfect base for exploring the surrounding region.

Driving directions
Follow the AP7/A7 motorway and then the A30, and you’ll find Ulea just off to the left. A winding road leads you into the valley, creating a picturesque journey. If you’re driving independently, the map provided below will guide you to El Parque de Marquesa. Once inside the grounds, continue straight down the driveway to the end where Happy Retreats is located. Don’t be concerned about the driveway turning into a track halfway – you’re on the right path!
Exploring the region
Beyond Ulea, the region offers a wealth of experiences. You'll discover that Ulea is one of only six towns situated on the northeastern side of the Segura River. Nearby lie the renowned Spanish vineyards of Jumilla, Bullas, and Yecla, all within a 30-minute drive. Be sure to visit a bodega and sample the local wines – a truly delightful experience.
